Call for proposals for 2020 OPID Spring Conference on Teaching and Learning

The 2-day, annual OPID Spring Conference will be held from Thursday, April 16 to Friday, April 17, 2020 at the Memorial Union in Madison. This year’s theme is The Joys of Teaching and Learning: Creating Transformative Experiences. The keynote speaker is Dr. Joshua Eyler, author of the recently published book How Humans Learn: The Science and Stories Behind Effective College Teaching.

Faculty and instructional academic staff from all disciplines across UW System are invited to share their experiences with teaching and learning and submit proposals. Proposals are due Tuesday, November 12.

Please visit the conference website for additional information about the submission process, topics of particular interest, presentation formats and the online proposal form. Proposals will be anonymously peer-reviewed by members of OPID’s Advisory Council comprised of faculty and instructors from throughout the UW System. Proposal notifications will be sent in mid-January 20202. Accepted participants are expected to register for the conference as confirmation that they will present.
