This year, the TeachOnline@UW Program will offer summer sessions – this is a great opportunity for faculty and instructors to get a quick start on developing online courses. TeachOnline@UW is a unique learning community that supports faculty and instructional staff in designing or redesigning fully online courses. Participants have the opportunity to explore and implement research-based online course design and teaching best practices in two courses: “Plan & Design” and “Facilitation & Management.” Both courses will be offered in the summer, mostly in an online format and in an accelerated timeline, to be completed before the fall semester begins.
Stipends will be provided based on completion of the courses: $1,500 for completing both courses; $750 for completing one. To support instructors in developing quality online courses, applicants who do not have course development funding, yet meet department and campus strategic needs, may be selected to apply for instructional design assistance and course development funds to complete their online course, and participate in course evaluations and quality reviews.
