The Discussion Project, developed by the School of Education, is a professional development program specifically devoted to improving classroom discussion and promoting classroom environments that are welcoming to all students. UW–Madison faculty and teaching staff who are assigned to teach at least one course in spring 2019 are eligible to apply.
Participants learn strategies for creating inclusive classroom climates, facilitating discussions for both large and small groups, assessing effectiveness, and more. Participants receive $500 in flex funding for completing all program requirements.
Applications to join the spring 2019 cohort are due November 16. To learn more and apply, visit The Discussion Project website.
