Provost Mangelsdorf announced the fifth annual call for nominations for Awards for Mentoring Undergraduates in Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities. The awards recognize faculty, academic staff, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students for the outstanding work they do in mentoring undergraduate students in their areas of professional activity. The awards will provide $2,000 of university expendable funds (supplies and expenses) to a faculty member/research group, academic staff member or post-doctoral fellow/graduate student for excellence in undergraduate mentoring.
The awards will be presented to recipients at a reception at the close of the Undergraduate Symposium on Friday, April 13, 2018, in Union South. It is a requirement of the program that they attend to receive their award.
The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, November 3, 2017.
